Good news: In order to provide a place for local Chinese and overseas Chinese to gather and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, the large-scale Mid-Autumn Festival Gala with the theme of "Full Moon in the Atlantic" will kick off at 6 pm on October 1, 2023. The evening will be held at the Spatz Theatre at Halifax Citedel School. The theater will provide high-grade stage lighting and sound for this large-scale performance. Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful artistic audio-visual feast. Before the performance, the audience will also have the opportunity to exchange anti-epidemic and life experiences with new and old friends.
In addition to the wonderful dance, instrumental music and vocal music specially rehearsed by the local cultural and art society for the evening, this large-scale theatrical performance also invited the famous dancer Sun Yue of the Ottawa Chinese community to present a wonderful dance program. Rehearsals and spoilers for some wonderful performances will be released in subsequent public accounts.
The 2023 Halifax Chinese Community Mid-Autumn Festival Gala is in full swing. The event was co-sponsored by Xiacheng Chinese Language School, Nova Scotia Chinese Culture and Art Club and the Confucius Institute at St. Mary's University. The co-organizers of the event include Chinese Society of Nova Scotia, Chinese Benevolent Association and Hong Kong-Canada Chamber of Commerce, as well as a number of support groups.
